TRIGGERS: sexual assault and some serious rape apologism
I have an announcement to make. Actually, we should all be in the habit of talking about this every few months at least until a day comes when he is finally accountable, and until our communities do not harbor attitudes that enable this…

I’m glad to see he was acquitted for defending himself against those ratchet bitches. I like how the writer puts in the caption he brutally beat two female customers. Fuck those overzealous cops & the D.A. for trying to pursue charges on this guy.
and the 2 bitches are getting charged with trespassing
praise the lord jesus
very good
great

Or how a riot started by queers, drag queens, transgender people and sex workers became ruthlessly hijacked and monopolized by normatively attractive, affluent, masculine gay men who value assimilation and heteronormativity over universal healthcare - and who…

LGBTQ* History You Should Know
(And Probably Never Heard Of)
— Compton Cafeteria Riots 1966
“One weekend night in August — the precise date unknown — Compton’s, a twenty-four-hour cafeteria, was buzzing with its usual late-night crowd of drag queens, hustlers, slummers, cruisers, runaway teens, and down-and-out neighborhood regulars. The restaurant’s manager became annoyed by a noisy young crowd of queens at one table who seemed to be spending a lot of time without spending a lot of money, and called in the police to roust them — as it had been doing with increasing frequency throughout the summer.
A surly police officer …. grabbed the arm of one of the queens and tried to drag her away. She unexpectedly threw her coffee in his face, however, and melee erupted…. The paddy wagons arrived and the street fighting broke out in Compton’s vicinity.”

Susan Stryker was one of my profs and it’s always funny to me when I see her name come up. I’m really sad she’s not teaching here any more.

Oh my god. I was SO excited when I saw this awesome book bag that says “TRANS” at Target earlier tonight. I was so tempted to buy it (Anyone wanna buy one for me? Just kidding. I have enough gay apparel as it is).
Mostly because of the cute (and highly appropriate) zebra print design, but yanno.. the TRANS part makes it pretty awesome too. I hope I see people walking around with these TRANS book bags.
I’ll be such a happy and giggly boy.
Fun story: the IU campus is lousy with these things. During my freshman year, when I was but a little trans guy in a hot steaming pot of denial, seeing these backpack could [and often did] send me into a fit of tears. Many awkward bus rides.Good times.](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpsw1hhYD81qjvhqso1_500.jpg)

Good times.
I’m tired of seeing posts that completely bash bottom surgery. You’re entitled to your own opinion; yes. However, saying that it’s “half-assed” is just downright rude and offensive. There’s a difference between saying that something isn’t for you and saying something that’s offensive towards…

THANK YOU.
I’m really over the misinformation that’s out there. I’m sick of people walking into the forums I frequent and dismissing bottom surgery because it’s “not good enough”, “doesn’t work”, or “doesn’t look right”. There are plenty of trans folk out there who have genitals that are great, look fantastic, and work just right for them [and their partner].
Shaming anyone’s body is not okay. Ever.
